At 3Bee, we’ve designed Sustainable Packaging that prevents the breakage of honey jars in 99.9% of cases. Unfortunately, not all beekeepers in our network use this type of packaging as a standard, and couriers are not known for handling packages with care.

The percentage of jars that arrive broken is only 0.1% of all shipments we make throughout the year.

However, it can happen that you are part of this small percentage.

What should you do in these cases?

Below, I’ve listed some examples with possible solutions, or alternatively, contact customer support by sending an email to info@3bee.it:

DAMAGED LID JAR: If you receive a jar of honey with a slightly dented lid but the seal is intact, it’s not a problem, as honey is not a product that’s stored under vacuum, so a minor dent does not affect the product’s quality.

LEAKING JAR: In most cases, honey leaking from the jar is caused by excessive filling during packaging. This more often happens with honey types that tend to remain more fluid and less crystallized (compact).

INTACT JAR WITH TORN SEAL: In these cases, since the seal is the product’s quality guarantee, we will proceed with a replacement. Please contact our customer support by writing to info@3bee.it.

JAR WITH WHITE FILM: The presence of a white strip at the top of the honey jar is not a cause for concern, as this foam indicates that the honey has simply absorbed air, which does not affect its quality. However, the presence of white patches suggests a temperature fluctuation and too rapid crystallization. The quality of the product is therefore not compromised.

BROKEN JAR: In these cases, send an email to info@3bee.it with photos of the jar you received. Customer support will open a case, contact the beekeeper, and arrange a new shipment.
